If you choose a María Rosúa piece, please read this carefully

I want to share some important things with you so that your experience buying and receiving a handcrafted María Rosúa jewelry piece is smooth and without surprises.

Each of our pieces is handmade, with a lot of love, dedication, and time. We don’t mass-produce or keep large stock because we believe each piece should be unique and special, both in design and in the process that brings it to life. This means production isn’t immediate; every stage — from cutting and assembling to polishing and painting — requires patience, care, and precision.

Also, our jewelry ships from Formentera, a Mediterranean island. This means shipping times aren’t as fast as in big cities or mainland areas. Sea and air transport from an island adds days, and depending on the time of year or external factors, delivery times may vary. In high season, for example, delays are more common.

I understand that in this fast-paced world waiting can be frustrating, but please know this wait is part of what makes each piece special. Each jewelry piece takes hours of manual work, a process where there’s no room for rushing if we want to keep the quality and delicacy that define it.

For those who need a piece urgently, we have a special section called “Ready to Ship.” It’s a small limited stock of finished pieces that can be sent within 24 to 48 hours. The variety in this section is more limited because we prioritize personalized artisanal production, but it’s a great option if you need a quick gift or detail.

If you want to know what pieces we have available for immediate shipping, please write to us. We can also show you videos of the pieces available in our physical store in Formentera, so you can choose calmly even if you’re far away.

Now, I want to tell you a little about how to care for your jewelry, especially those with hand-painted details. The paint I use on metal is a delicate artisanal process, where I apply watercolors and special enamels that bring life and color to each design. To keep those colors vibrant, a proper curing process is needed, which takes time and cannot be rushed without losing quality.

So, when you receive your jewelry, please treat it like a little treasure. If your piece is silver or gold-plated silver, it can get wet without problem; it’s okay to wear it in contact with water. But if your jewelry has paint, I recommend avoiding continuous contact with water, detergents, perfumes, creams, or harsh chemicals. Think of your jewelry like a painting you wear: don’t shower with it on or expose it to agents that might damage the color layer.

It’s okay if it gets wet occasionally, but frequent and prolonged contact with liquids or corrosive substances may cause the paint to wear off or lose intensity over time. So, I recommend that every time you wash dishes, swim in the sea, or do activities where it could get wet or rubbed a lot, you take it off and store it carefully.

This simple care will help your jewelry keep its beauty, color, and soul for many years. Handcrafted jewelry is made to accompany you over time but also to be cared for lovingly.

If you have one of our pieces and notice the paint has worn or faded, please write to us. We can help bring it back to life and keep it accompanying you as on day one.

I want to thank you for choosing handmade jewelry, with all its timing and particularities. Buying an artisanal piece means valuing quality over quantity, authenticity over speed. It’s a conscious and beautiful choice that helps keep craftsmanship alive and builds connections with each piece and every person who chooses it.

If you have questions at any time, you can write to me. I’m here to accompany you and make sure the experience of wearing María Rosúa jewelry is a pleasure from the first contact until you wear it every day.

Thank you for trusting work made with hands, time, and meaning. Thank you for valuing local, sustainable, and authentic craftsmanship.

Your jewelry will thank you — and so will I.
