When I think of the Hortensia collection, I think of my childhood. In my grandfather's garden turned into a jungle, how many colors were there? White, lilac, violet, blue. I remember myself as a child looking up, wrapped in those dark green leaves and its perfect bouquets of flowers. This collection was born from those memories, and also from the amazement that this special plant continues to generate. It is one of the most beloved and chosen lines of my contemporary jewelry: a series of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings inspired by the geometry, strength and ability to change the hydrangea.

Hydrangeas have a peculiarity that makes them fascinating: their color can vary according to the pH of the soil. In acidic soils, their flowers are blue; in alkaline soils, they turn pink or lilac. This adaptability made many cultures associate them with change, sensitivity, intuition and internal evolution.
In Japan, where the hydrangea is highly appreciated, it symbolizes gratitude, apology and deep sincerity. During the rainy season, it is common to see hydrangeas bloom in temples, as in Kamakura, where their presence is associated with introspection, forgiveness and emotional renewal. In the Japanese language of flowers, known as hanakotoba, the hydrangea communicates complex feelings, such as an apology that comes from the heart or a gratitude that finds no words. This symbolic look, so full of nuances, inspires me deeply: just as flowers can say what we sometimes do not know how to express, so do my jewels seek to become that intimate, silent and powerful language. In the West, it is often linked to abundance, grace and the feminine. For me, it is a flower that represents the beauty in motion: something that transforms without losing its essence. And that's something I'm also looking to convey with this collection.
Like the hydrangea, I also transform according to the soil I inhabit. I was born in Argentina and today I live on an island in the Mediterranean. The migratory process taught me, like the flower, to adapt to new lands without ceasing to be myself. My identity expands, is enriched, but my essence remains. Like the hydrangea, change of color, accent, environment... but not at the root. This collection is also a tribute to all the people who live in transit, who change their land but not their essence. It is a jewel that can be given as an amulet to those people who are going through those profound movements and that transform us: reaching new lands, adapting, letting ourselves be transformed but preserving our root and our being.

This collection was originally designed without color but with a lot of texture on the metal. I like the shine that the bouquet of flowers gives, but as we adapt our designs to the taste of each one, we can customize your hydrangeas to your memories and experiences. You can customize your jewelry by choosing the color that best represents you or that connects with a special occasion. Many customers choose this collection as a jewel for weddings, anniversaries or to accompany closing and beginning rituals.
Maybe it reminds you of someone, maybe a ring with hydrangeas is the perfect excuse to ask for forgiveness, to thank, to express sincerity with yourself or with that person. My jewelry remembers and reflects moments. If you are looking for a subtle but powerful way to say what you feel, the Hortensia collection may be the right gesture. I chose a piece that speaks for you, that accompanies your word, your emotion, your desire to repair or celebrate. Every jewel is made to connect with something true.

If you've ever been in a hydrangea garden, you know what I'm talking about: there's something about its shape and its way of occupying the space that moves. And if you didn't live it, I hope my pieces can bring you a little closer to that experience.
