Harvest · where our collection comes from

What nourishes us comes from the earth. It nourishes us, teaches us care, and reminds us that we are part of a larger cycle. That's why my Cosecha jewelry collection is a tribute to Pachamama (define Pachamama, Mother Earth, share a fun fact), to the nature that surrounds us, and to the fruits that have always accompanied our lives.

The first jewel in this collection was born during my son's pregnancy. In the midst of the pandemic, we lived in Formentera, in the La Mola area, one of the most remote places on the island. We had our little studio-house on a cliff, where there were almost no neighbors and the immensity of the sea embraced us. We could go for walks, get some fresh air, and prepare boxes for our own vegetable garden. There, we connected with the life growing inside and outside the home, amid the uncertainty of what was happening worldwide, the unknown, the distance we felt for the first time from family and loved ones. Caetano grew in my belly, and amidst so much uncertainty, we learned to enjoy a new way of living. At the door of the little house, there was a small, old fig tree that produced delicious, almost black, purple figs. That fig was the first seed of this collection of jewelry inspired by fruits and vegetables. The fig is a fruit steeped in mystery, sacred in many cultures, a symbol of fertility and eroticism. For me, it was also a refuge in uncertain times: the unexpected sweetness offered by a tree barely surviving among the stones. Thus was born the first fig earring, hand-painted on metal, large and striking, like a declaration of abundance in times of scarcity. It was the first collection where I began to experiment with pigments and develop the technique I use today. A friend gave me some incredible colors she had brought from India. After five years of using them, I still have a little left, and I continue painting my figs with these pigments. It's crazy how one can develop such affection for a color, but the day it's finished, I feel like a cycle will close... the figs will continue to be born, but in other shades.

More pieces followed, as if the collection grew with my son. He devoured the artichokes with gusto, and I translated those plant-based shapes into textured metal and intense colors. Artichokes transformed into eye-catching and fun earrings. Today, when I do markets, they are some of the most eye-catching earrings, generating laughter and joy among visitors to my stall.

On our walks around the island, we also saw vineyards laden with grapes, shining pomegranates, and ancient olive trees that resist the wind. All of this began to enter my workshop and transform into jewelry. Grapes, transformed into necklaces and earrings, are a hymn to celebration. Since Greek mythology, they have been associated with Dionysus and wine, with shared joy, with a full table. A jewel of grapes is a festive bunch to wear on the body, an amulet for wine lovers and those toasts that are repeated over and over again. The pomegranate has always fascinated me. Opening it is to discover a world of seeds, like tiny hidden rubies. In ancient times, it was a symbol of life and fertility, and also of the mystery of Persephone in the underworld. As a jewel, the pomegranate becomes a reminder of diversity, of what beats in secret and bursts open with force. The olive tree, on the other hand, is Mediterranean root. A tree of peace, longevity, and wisdom, its branches have been used in wreaths, rituals, and pacts. Transformed into bracelets and earrings, it becomes a gesture of calm and grounding.

Among my childhood memories are lemons and tangerines. Lemons, with their acidic freshness, always seemed like rays of sunshine transformed into fruit. Tangerines take me back to winter afternoons, to the juice in my hands, to simple snacks. Like jewels, both fruits shine with vibrant colors, large pieces that convey vitality and everyday joy. (I would add Latin American references.) Pears, on the other hand, connect me with my aunt, who would bake them with red wine. That warm dish is now a ring or an earring that holds the memory of shared cooking, of family tenderness. In artistic tradition, the pear has also been a symbol of the feminine, of sweetness and abundance.

Our watermelons were born as a charity project, to raise funds for a cause we believe is just, and we decided not to remain silent. It's our way of supporting the Palestinian people through our art, and in this way, raising funds to help families resisting in their land.

Garlic, that popular amulet against evil and envy, an ancient protector, could not be missing. In my collection, garlic is transformed into a jewel filled with power, a small, handmade talisman that recalls the wisdom of everyday life. And beneath the earth, like a secret, appears the beet, with its intense color that tinges hands and memories. It represents the subterranean, that which cannot be seen with the naked eye. A beet jewel is root and mystery, that which is hidden that is suddenly revealed with force.

In all these pieces, there's a constant play with size. I like to design large, striking jewelry, where the metal becomes a canvas, receiving shape, texture, and color. I paint each piece with enamels, acrylics, or watercolors, seeking the intensity of the color to bring the jewelry to life, as if it still retained the juice of the fruit or the sap of the plant. The Harvest Collection is in constant motion. I always start with earrings, but little by little, necklaces, bracelets, and rings appear that accompany and complete each universe. These are not passing fads, but rather part of a contemporary artisanal jewelry that respects the times of making.

Each piece of jewelry is handmade in my workshop, with dedication and slowness, following a slow fashion philosophy. These are unique pieces that we can customize to tell your story. Maybe your fig tree used to bear green fruit instead of purple, or your favorite wine is white instead of red. Write to us and we'll make it happen: each piece can have details that make it even more special. Our production times are slow because each piece requires artisanal work. We have limited stock, but most jewelry is custom-made to order.

If you're in a hurry for love, let us know, and we'll do our best to be with you during that special moment.

The Harvest Collection is not just a set of earrings, necklaces, and rings. It's an invitation to wear the earth's bounty on your body, to remember that behind every fruit lies a cultural history, a symbol, and a memory. It's a tribute to the everyday that becomes extraordinary when we transform it into jewelry.
