Here we explain the similarities and differences between the metals we use for our jewelry, and why chains/links are always made of silver or gold-plated silver to prevent allergies.
✨ Brass
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc with a natural golden tone, perfect for pieces with a warm glow and an authentic look.

What to expect:
- Over time it may darken or develop a soft patina, giving it character.
- If you want it to shine again, it polishes easily. Our cleaning gel is available online.
✨ Gold-plated brass
This metal combines the strength of brass with a layer of real 24-karat gold applied by electrolytic deposition.
Advantages:
- Elegant gold look without the price of solid gold.
- The gold tone is maintained and harmonizes with the brass underneath.
- Ideal for earrings and pieces you want to show off in style
- It doesn't dull over time; it always maintains its shine.

Sterling silver is a noble, precious, and classic metal.
Advantages:
- Very durable and resistant
- It maintains its shine with proper care.
- It can be used every day without losing its beauty.
Perfect for:
- Earrings that come into contact with the skin
- People with sensitivities or allergies (silver is less reactive)
- It is a precious metal, hence the price difference with brass.
✨ Gold-plated silver
If you like the golden tone but want the base to be silver, this is your best option.
Advantages:
- Golden look with the quality and safety of silver underneath. More durable and less prone to irritation than other metals.
